Speak up for arts education!

I came across this survey in the Arts Education Partnership’s newsletter and wanted to help spread the word about the chance for students, parents and educators to speak up for arts education!

The Speak Up National Research Project is a way for participating organizations to collect feedback on important education issues. The survey addresses a range of subjects such as technology, 21st century skills, science and math instruction. Education, business and policy leaders regularly use the Speak Up data to inform federal, state and local education programs. This survey is a chance to make sure arts education is included.

This year’s Speak Up survey is currently open and will close on Friday, December 17th.  You can participate in the survey at http://www.speakup4schools.org/speakup2010/.

Project Tomorrow is a nonprofit group dedicated to ensuring that today’s K-12 students are well prepared to become tomorrow’s leaders, innovators and engaged citizens of the world. It believes that by supporting the innovative uses of science, math and technology resources in K-12 schools and communities, students will develop the critical thinking, problem solving and creativity skills needed to compete and thrive in the 21st century. For more information about Project Tomorrow and Speak Up, visit www.tomorrow.org.
