Snow Takes Its Toll on the Arts

If you read this blog, or have met me in the last six months or so, you’ll likely know that Lexington Children’s Theatre is a special place for me. I credit them with turning me into the teaching artist I am now. LCT is the only professional theatre in Lexington and is a staple in the community. This organization truly does change lives with its programming. From their engaging professional performances to its holistic approach to nurturing the creativity of young people, as well as their committment to training the next generation of teaching artists, LCT hits it out of the park every time.

A crazy amount of snow days in and around Lexington, Kentucky has hurt LCT’s revenue this season. If you have anything to spare, join me in supporting this wonderful organization devoted to bringing arts to the young people of Lexington.

I urge you to consider donating to their annual campaign. Every little bit helps!

  1. Thank you so much for this! I’m the new development associate for LCT and found this on my Google alerts – it is much appreciated!

    • Hi Rachel!

It’s the least I can do. I was a summer education intern, and LCT is one of my favorite places on earth. You are so lucky to be working with such an incredible organization, and I hope you guys can come back from this snow set back. Tell everyone there I say hello!
